Loading Events

This class is designed to help reduce stress and discomfort physically and emotionally for individuals living with a Chronic Condition of any kind, from headaches, to back pain to Chronic diseases. We will meet you where you are on any given day and focus on your abilities while working towards strengthening areas of weakness through the emphasis of the breath and gentle movement.

Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early if you would like the Instructor to know more about what your needs and limitations are, so the class can be more tailored to each individual. This allows us to begin on time and also set you up with any needed props ahead of time. We will work on a combination of gentle movements, breath awareness, mindfulness and meditation.

A few things to note about this particular class:

Poses can be done from a chair, if the floor isn’t accessible to you.
Please be aware that people with Chronic Conditions frequently have scent sensitivities. Please do not wear scented perfume/cologne or lotion.
Arrive 10-15 minutes early to let the Instructor know what your Chronic Conditions and limitations are.
Whole Life Yoga has mats, blocks, straps, neck pillows and chairs for your use while you attend class.
All levels are welcome to attend!

Sarah Mercier is a certified yoga instructor through Whole Life Yoga’s teacher training program at the 500-hour level. Living with a chronic illness from childhood is what led Sarah to the mindfulness and breath-centered practices of Viniyoga. Her passion is inspiring others to be the best version of themselves, gain confidence and work to overcome their own personal obstacles. Through yoga, Sarah helps to bring peacefulness and mindfulness to each student, no matter what their age and level of experience.
