Join Maritza for an experiential workshop exploring the theory of creation that is the foundation of the sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda. Sankhya Philosophy describes the process of consciousness becoming matter. In this workshop students will learn about the principles of Sankhya Philosophy, including the 24 Objects in the Descent of Consciousness, followed by a discussion on this dualistic philosophy and how we can make it relevant to our lives today.

All levels of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Meditation practitioners are invited to enroll. This workshop will benefit students who want to better understand and broaden their knowledge on the philosophy that underpins their practice.

Please come dressed for movement and discussion. Bring a journal and writing implement.

What to expect in ­­­Maritza’s classes: Maritza teaches from the Heart, a place that connects directly to the experience of breath and motion. She guides her classes in a dynamic and profound way: non-judgmental, full of compassion, respect, knowledge and understanding of everyone’s sacred space and needs. Maritza encourages students to attune with the pulsations and vibrations of their heart and breath, to relax in every exhalation, to find alignment as they feel and to observe what is happening inside. Ultimately to surrender to their experience as it is.
