Join instructor Leah Glanz for this 4-week Yoga for Larger Bodies series. Each week we’ll engage in a brave discussion to build community and break down barriers around fat bias, what is lacking in the modern yoga practice and how we can support one another at every size. We’ll workshop postures to cultivate deeper love and acceptance of your body using props and thoughtful movements to support all the curves of your beautifully capable body. You’ll leave with tools of accessibility through individualized exploration, igniting a sense of empowerment, ready to attend group classes and cultivate your home practice. Participants can also expect guided group discussion from prompts by: The Body is Not An Apology and The Journal of Radical Permission by Sonya Renee Taylor & Adrienne Maree Brown.

Over the course of this workshop we’ll address the culture of ableism, body privilege, and fat bias. Typical yoga classes are taught as “one size fits all”, in turn creating frustration, negative self talk, defeat, and adding to body related trauma, causing a sense of separation in a space designed for healing and connection.

Investment is $108 for the 4-week series for each child. We have 2 scholarship spots available at a reduced rate of 50% off for individuals who identify as members of a marginalized community. Please email info@ayayogaoasis.com to ask about the availability of this scholarship.
