A 50+ Monthly Workshop

Yoga supports us in awakening to our true selves, to offer clarity of purpose, and to support us in achieving and maintaining physical, mental and spiritual strength. These monthly classes will provide students in “The Forest Dweller Years” – the 3rd Ashram of life in yogic teachings – with help in shifting to this kinder, gentler time of life, and the challenges that sometimes come along with the aging process.

Expect some community discussion and lecture about the topic of the month, and gentle asana, meditation and pranayama practices.

These monthly classes are suitable for all levels, from those new to yoga, to the experienced practitioner. Please bring a mat and, if you like, a journal and writing instrument. Sessions will offer a writing prompt for optional deeper contemplation. Yoga for the Forest Dweller Years usually takes place on the last Sunday of the month. Please save the date: Jan. 27, 2019. No November class.

About the instructor:  Sally Carley

Sally Carley Yoga Seattle

Sally’s numerous previous careers were all important stepping stones on her path to yoga, which is currently her full-time occupation. Her core belief is that the state of yoga should be available to all. This drives and inspires Sally to teach, especially to those who think they can’t do yoga, and to work with people on an individual basis using principles of Integrated Movement Therapy, a yoga- and clinically-based therapy that teaches that we are already perfect and whole.

Main Influences/Styles/Traditions: Her children Liz and Freddy, Molly Lannon Kenny, Hiroshi Motoyama, Paul Grilley, Jenny Hayo, Bob Laval, and the teachings of the Blackfoot tradition
