Yoga Nidra is a highly relaxed and deep state of meditation that progresses through the many stages of the mind. Yoga Nidra, meaning yogic sleep, is a journey through stillness and mindfulness in order to gain a greater sense of clarity, calmness, and serenity. In this deep sleep meditation your conscious mind will gently guide you through thought patterns, emotions, images, and sensations that can bring you to a higher form of understanding the Self. You will travel past the waking stage, beyond the dreaming stage, and into the realm of the deep sleep stage, yet you remain awake and conscious. Yoga Nidra is said to be five times more restorative than regular sleep. You will leave this class with a renewed sense of purpose and increased awareness.
