45 Session Yoga Practitioner Training Program: Iyengar Alignment Yoga

What is rare in the yoga world is a 1-year course which progresses each with with the same students(no drop-ins), a 2-hour practice, taught be an experienced teacher, and a sophisticated real yoga system!

The course is for those who want to develop a powerful, personal yoga practice. The course is not for those needing a slow/gentle class, nor for those with many injuries.

Instructor is one of the leading yoga teachers in the Northwest. Richard Schachtel is the founder and director of The Center For Yoga of Seattle in Ravenna. He has taught for over 3 decades and has trained regularly in India with The Iyengar Family since 1980.

Two starting dates are available for this course on May 7th (6-10pm ) or May 9th (10am-2pm), meets weekly, and will finish within 13 months. Please follow the link for more information. For those intersted in earning a 200 hour yoga teacher certificate, they can enroll in the full.

About the instructor:  Richard Schachtel

Richard Schachtel has been training in Iyengar Yoga for over 40 years which emphasis developing a practice with a high degree of precision of alignment. He founded The Center For Yoga in 1980 and is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and an authorized Iyengar Yoga Teacher Trainer. He has made 22 yoga study trips to India to personally train with the Iyengar Family most recently in December 2017. Richard is the Seattle Area’s most Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher. Richard has been training teachers in Seattle since 1986 and has influenced several generations of yoga teachers. There are over 125 recent graduates of this program which is offered also on the weekends, and in 4-week immersions.
