This workshop is for pregnant and newly postpartum folks to learn about the changes that happen to the core during pregnancy and how to support rebuilding the core postpartum. The body undergoes so many changes during pregnancy and perhaps one of the most noticeable is the core. It can be hard to know what is safe to do during pregnancy and difficult to find the time to address what is happening once baby arrives.

This two-hour workshop will include a discussion and hands-on exploration of the following:

  Changes to the core during pregnancy.
Understanding diastasis recti and tips for avoiding it in pregnancy and assessing and healing it postpartum.
The postpartum core.
Asana for building strong core safely during pregnancy.
Asana for re-building the core safely after baby arrives.

This workshop will be of benefit no matter where you are on your journey of pregnancy (and no matter if it’s your first pregnancy or your fifth!) and will still be of benefit even if baby has already arrived.

She offers a style that is accessible, easy to understand and woven together with depth and humor. Her specialty is creating a nurturing space for mamas to explore in her weekly prenatal and postnatal classes. All of her classes are often focused on the lunar and seasonal cycles, and meditation and breathwork geared toward accessing energy and the chakra system. You can also join her for weekly yoga nidra practice and regular sound bath offerings.
