Increase your running speed and agility by combining physical conditioning and focused concentration. This class is designed for runners (as well as non-runners who want to explore ways to improve well-being) to help build endurance, challenge underused muscles, & increase flexibility. The yoga poses are designed to stretch tight and overused muscles, as well as incorporating lateral movements (front & back side to side poses) through synchronicity of the breath. Myofascial release will be incorporated during the workshop using myofascial balls to release tension and hydrate tissues, the fascia. Myofascial release techniques will also be introduced to incorporate in your regular daily or weekly routing to improve overall well being. The workshop will end with a short body scan meditation to bring awareness to the present moment.

Workshop Class Structure:

– Introduction & breath work (pranayama)
– Yoga flow
– Myofascial release techniques in between restorative yoga poses
– Meditation

Vivian is a graduate of University of MI, Yoga Medicine 200 E RYT, Yoga for Athletes certified, Love Your Brain trained in yoga for the brain injured, currently in 500 Hr teacher training in internal medicine and women’s health and a lifestyle consultant. Specializing in vinyasa, yoga for athletes, yoga for the brain injured and wellness. She founded DRIFT // Dress.Run.Yoga with services in wardrobing, running plans and yoga based in Seattle, WA in 2017 after she left her job in the fashion industry as a buyer/buy planner with Nordstrom, Inc. Since finishing her 200 Hr teacher training in yoga she has lead yoga classes in groups and privately as well as partnerships on yoga events with local companies and with yoga and sports apparel/accessories. You can also catch Vivian teaching at Datza Studios on Thursdays and Saturdays.
