In a unique and enthralling blend of live storytelling and interpretation, internationally acclaimed yoga teacher James Boag weaves powerful symbolic teachings from the heart of the yoga tradition vividly into the context of our lives today. These classes will invite you to dive deeper into the gifts of yoga and examine more keenly how we can use yoga to understand ourselves more thoroughly and foster greater harmony, balance and efficiency in all we are and do. These talks can support you to make your practice your own and let it serve your higher interests and deeper longings.

James Boag teaches applied yoga philosophy and mythology around the world. Drawing on his background in languages and teaching, he brings the practical essence of traditional Indian teachings into the vivid context of our human lives today.

Ancient and Always New: Cultivating Integration in the Thick of Life

How can yoga help us find harmony amidst the constant change and challenges of real life? Through his powerful storytelling, James will introduce us to the Indian archetypes like Ganeśa who will help us explore the bigger picture of what yoga means, and how it can support us. James will discuss the timeless practicality of yoga to help us cultivate unity, here and now, in the middle of the whirling wonder of life.

Ancient and Always New: Yoga and the Journey of a Human Life

W hat is yoga really all about? H ow can these ancient teachings help me in the context of my life today? The teachings of yoga have survived because they work. Their robust principles were based on patient observation of the laws of nature. We will examine classic yoga texts, like the Bhagavad Gītā, Yoga Sūtra-s and the Purāna-s, exploring the application of these ancient wisdom teachings to our modern lives today and learning how it evolves through the course of our lives and practices.
