About Carina Terra: Carina (E-RYT 500) is a Seattle-based yoga teacher with 18 years of teaching experience. While pursuing a degree in Physics at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, Carina also studied yoga therapy under professor Marcos Rojo Rodrigues, a disciple of Swami Kuvalayananda, the great pioneer of yoga therapy and the scientific study of yoga. In 2011, Carina met her teacher Shari Friedrichsen, who introduced her to Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, PhD (Spiritual Head of the Himalayan Institute). Since 2017, Carina has been studying yoga in all its aspects under Panditji’s expert guidance. She also continues to study asana, meditation, and philosophy with Shari Friedrichsen, Sandra Anderson, Ishan Tigunait, and other teachers of the Himalayan tradition.
Carina is also a Pranassage practitioner certified by the Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica, and a Prenatal yoga teacher certified by the Seattle Holistic Center.  In addition to her yoga expertise, Carina is also a Reiki Master and a Holographic Sound Healing Facilitator.
Carina owned and managed Terra Yoga in Issaquah from 2003 to 2013. She has since shifted her focus to training and mentoring other teachers, as well as sharing her passion for yoga with a more global community.
Carina is a versatile teacher who has an interdisciplinary approach to teaching yoga, weaving both modern science and ancient wisdom into her classes. Her passion for teaching is evident in her breath-aligned classes, which are suitable for people of all levels and abilities. She creates a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages students to explore their inner space with curiosity and self-compassion.
