Yamas & Niyamas are the first two limbs of yoga. The five yamas of Pantanjali’s classical yoga system are commitments that affect how a yogi interacts with others. They are personal obligations to live well. They are Ahimsa, Satya, Asteya, Brahmacharya and Aparigraha. In a series of videos called “Yamas & Niyamas Explained,” retired Iyengar yoga teacher, Felicity Green, helps explain each one of those yamas in short videos. Here is what she had to say about Satya:
