Maryam Ehsani’s BioI took my first yoga class in Newport Beach, California in 1999. I remember thinking the teacher must think I am a natural since I was a former gymnast. That was definitely not the case. He spent the better part of the class adjusting me since I had been a gymnast and clearly never practiced yoga before. After that very first class, I was hooked.I began taking classes and exploring different styles of yoga. Back then there were only a few studios around so I set my intention on Discover Yoga in Redmond,Washington with Ellen Morrel. I enrolled in her 2000-2001 Viniyoga Yoga teacher training. Once I completed my training, I moved to Sun Valley, Idaho.I wanted to experience yoga in real life. I certainly wasn’t ready to teach.I had to live it, breathe it and truly feel it, so that’s what I did. I practiced &learned from some incredible teachers who helped me develop my own practice. I returned back to Seattle in 2008. I wasn’t done learning and so I enrolled in Yoga Works 2011 Teacher Training with Irene Alexander & Catherine Munro. Once I completed that teacher training, I knew I was ready to teach as a private yoga instructor.

Studio-e was created in 2017 with my whole heart’s desire for a safe &all-inclusive space for people to practice yoga. My mission was to create a place where any {body} could come & be themselves.A space to learn, explore, deepen, and develop their own personal yoga practice. A place where you can move freely at your own pace and feel supported& encouraged every step of the way. I believe there is an abundance of physical, mental and emotional benefits by adding and incorporating yoga into a person’s life.

Style of Yoga:

My teaching style begins with Viniyoga, an approach to yoga that adapts the yoga practice methods to each individual. Every {body}is different and finding out your personal potential allows me to create a yoga experience designed just for you. I then incorporate Vinyasa yoga which helps me develop different sequencing to fit your intensity or intention with a specially curated yoga class. Combining these two methods allows me to achieve the right class for each client at Studio-e.
