The Power of Surrender
A Yoga Workshop for Freedom with Jenn Noble, RYT 500 at Atrium Arts

There is a common misconception that in order to surrender we must give up our power. We must surrender to something.  Or, on the other side, in order to be powerful, we must have power over something. This line of thinking leads to a multitude of self destructive behaviors, as it influences us to move from a place of fear and scarcity. However, this does not have to be the case. Power and surrender are not mutually exclusive. You can surrender to life and still be firmly grounded in your strength. You can be a person of great intensity and still be flexible, soft and open.

Through steady practice we can reach such a state of surrender that we embody it. It permeates our everyday life to such a point that we begin to move more freely and openly. Our stress levels decrease, our productivity rises and we simply become more open to life. In this openness we discover our true power, and within that power we find freedom.

This dynamic and powerful workshop will dive deeply into this concept on an intellectual, physical and spiritual level. You will leave this experience with practices you can take with you, wherever you go, to continue your growth and expansion. It will include a brief lecture, Sattva Yoga Journey (which incorporates postures, breathwork, kriyas, or specific movements designed to shift the body on a cellular level, mantra, freedom movement), and Kirtan.  No experience is required. Come dressed ready to move your body freely.

Light refreshments will be provided after the workshop for those who would like to stick around and share their experience in supportive community.
