Healing your Chakras is a journey through the subtle body. Just as we have a physical body, we also have a body of energy, called the subtle body. And just as we have a physical spine that acts as the central channel through which nerve impulses flow, we also have a subtle central channel called sushumna through which prana, or life force, flows. Deep within the sushumna lie spinning centers of energy, called chakras, which are like intense vortices of energy that act as distribution points for prana.

Blocked energy in our 7 chakras can often lead to illness or distress on systems of the body. Chakra balancing creates a sense of equilibrium between your body, mind and spirit. When your chakras are returned… to their natural frequencies, inner peace, wellbeing, and joy will follow.

In this workshop, experience the deep relationship between yoga asanas (or postures) and the chakras. When the asanas are combined with breath, visualization and mantra, they can have a direct effect on the energy flow within the chakras.

What To Expect
We begin with a 30 min lecture on how to recognize imbalance and ways to realign, followed by a 45 min kundalini (all levels) practice designed to clear blocked energy along the sushumna nadi and help to rebalance the subtle body systems. Then finish with a 15 min savasana with the gong to help the body absorb the shifts and truly inspire a transformation from deep within.

“When we can really understand what lies underneath all of the external layers, sheaths and labels we begin to see that underneath it all we are really compelled by the same desires to deepen our connection to one another and our planet. My desire through this workshop is to take away all of the layers of separation and show that underneath it all we are all the same and through an understanding of what the ancient seers and rishis referred to as the subtle body and how to manipulate prana into and through these energetic systems becoming aware of blockages etc. we discover that we really arent at the mercy of sickness, disease, fear, anger, depression and anxiety but we can elevate our consciousness through breath and movement!”

About the instructor: Debbie Dixon

Debbie DixonDebbie Dixon is the author of “The Path to Freedom Your guide to living the life of your dreams.”

She is also a Yoga teacher, Life Coach, Inspirational Speaker, who leads transformational retreats all over the world.

As a teacher, she seeks to cultivate the inner fire of transformation with a physically intense and vigorous practice connecting breath and movement. She emphasizes the breath, intention, mindful alignment… and ultimately, she guides her students back to their power.

Through her speaking, life coaching and workshops, she encourages people to step outside of their comfort zones and helps show them the way to a life filled with freedom, prosperity, joy, happiness and infinite possibilities. In her yoga retreats she uses yoga, meditation and techniques from her book, to reconnect with their purpose and deepest desires, the essence of their being, while disconnecting from their everyday routines.

She had studied yogic philosophy before being formally introduced to the physical practice 23 years ago. Taking her studies to the mat gave her the opportunity to experience with her own body, mind and spirit, the miracles this practice is capable of creating in ones’ life.

Her journey into the physical practice of yoga began with the Ashtanga primary series and Years later her passion expanded into Hatha, Kundalini and Yin yoga. She taught her first yoga class well over a decade ago and a few years later she opened (Seven Hot Yoga) a studio/community she owned and ran for over four years.

She often thinks back to a warning her teacher had said, that “Yoga will have side effects, it will heal your body and your life and you won’t be able eat McDonald’s anymore.”

Anxiety and panic attacks were something she dealt with every day, symptoms of the struggle, pain and abuse throughout her childhood.

Before she found yoga, she treated her symptoms with drugs and alcohol. Eventually yoga would become her medicine for everything, not only healing her physical body but as her teacher prophesized—healing her life.

She had began leading “realizing your dreams” seminars teaching people the importance of changing their thinking to change their life. This was when she realized how many other people had experienced trauma that had created similar symptoms. Having seen the light she decided that igniting spiritual health in others would become her Life long purpose.
