As you probably know already, Seattle is one of the top cities for yoga in the US. The Greater Seattle area has over 150 yoga studios of various sizes, offering a variety of yoga classes and styles. It seems that no matter where you go around town, you come across someone carrying a yoga mat and heading to a yoga class. We were curious to find out about the top neighborhood for yoga so we decided to do some research and analyze the number of yoga studios per zip code across the Greater Seattle area including King, Snohomish, Pierce and Kitsap county.

Here are the top 10 yoga neighborhoods (based on zip codes) in the Greater Seattle area with the highest number of yoga studios:

#1 with 14 yoga studios:

  • 98103 (Fremont + Greenwood + Wallingford)

#2 with 8 yoga studios:

  • 98122 (Capitol Hill + Madrona + Central District)

#3 with 6 yoga studios:

  • 98115 (Green Lake + Ravenna + Wedgwood)
  • 98105 (University District + Laurelhurst)

#5 with 5 yoga studios:

  • 98052 (Redmond)
  • 98034 (North Kirkland + Juanita + Totem Lake)
  • 98109 (Queen Anne + South Lake Union)

#8 with 4 yoga studios:

  • 98004 (Downtown Bellevue + West Bellevue + Clyde Hill)
  • 98116 (West Seattle)
  • 98107 (Ballard)

The data reviewed for this analysis is as of March 2015 and only includes commercial yoga studios that are primarily focused on yoga, it therefore does not includes gyms, at-home studios or other institutions that may be offering yoga classes in Seattle and other neighboring cities.
